Compliance & Documents
Compliance overview
What compliance documents are, where they live, and how expiry and the calendar work.
Compliance documents are certificates and other documents you must keep for your rental properties (e.g. Gas Safety Certificate, EPC, Electrical Safety Certificate, HMO licence). Togetha lets you attach them to a property, set an expiry date, and track them in one place.
Where compliance appears
- Property – When you add or edit a property, you can upload compliance docs; they’re also available from the property’s documents/compliance section.
- Vault – Use the Compliance tab to see all compliance documents across properties.
- Planner / Calendar – Expiring compliance docs can create calendar events so you get reminded before they expire.
- Tenant portal – Tenants may see relevant compliance documents (e.g. in the booking form “Property and Compliance Documents” section or in their documents area) so they can review them.
Why set an expiry date?
Setting expires at lets Togetha remind you to renew certificates (e.g. annual gas safety). The app can create calendar events for these dates so you don’t miss renewals.
